The challenge

A resume compresses 20+ years of work into two pages, and it can’t answer follow-up questions. I wanted hiring managers and recruiters to be able to ask about my experience directly and get answers grounded in my actual work history. I also wanted to show, not just claim, my technical depth.

What I did

  • Designed and built a RAG application in Python and Django that indexes my career documents into a PostgreSQL vector database (pgvector).
  • Built a Q&A assistant that retrieves the most relevant passages and streams an AI-generated answer, with conversation memory.
  • Built a recruiter tool that compares any job description against my documented experience and returns a fit assessment.
  • Added private tools for my own job search: resume tailoring with Word export, reusable cover letters, and skill-assessment answers.
  • Secured the app with admin-only access for private tools, rate limiting, and encrypted storage for sensitive uploads.
